Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hello! My name is Anya Cermak and I serve as Chapter President of Theta Omega Chapter of AOII. Alpha Omicron Pi was founded at Barnard College and from its beginning, Barnard was a place that took women seriously: engaging them, challenging them, and emboldening them. Our four founders, Helen, Stella, Jessie, and Bess, felt empowered to dream, embrace challenges, and inspire ambition. They created AOII, promising each other that their friendship would last a lifetime. And 127 years later, lifelong friendships forged in AOII are still going strong. Here at NAU, each of us knew AOII was home and joined because our values aligned with AOII's: strong sense of belonging, commitment to service and academic achievement, inclusivity, and allowing others the safety to grow and learn. Few of us were born and raised in Flagstaff so AOII has truly become our home away from home. Along with academic support, AOII provides many opportunities to serve the community through philanthropy and develop the interpersonal skills that will be so important post-college. We also have a lot of fun together, from big/little reveal and our overnight retreat to formals and just hanging out together. We are truly sisters for life! Alpha love,

Anya Cermak
